American Idol Inspires Idol Radio

American Idol Inspires Idol Radio

If you’re a big American Idol fan then you have more than likely heard of IdolRadio hosted by “Sir Darryl”. What started as a hobby has turned into a full time job of hosting radio shows heard throughout the internet.

In just a few short years, Sir Darryl’s shows have gone from just one show discussing American Idol to being heard on 14 radio networks. According to Darryl, it’s the “most listened to show on the net.”

Stop by on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 p.m. Eastern and Thursday at 10 p.m. Eastern and you’ll hear all-American Idol talk—complete with Darryl’s wonderful, smooth radio voice and a host of callers anxious to give their take on that week’s show or their favorite Idol.

We thought it would be interesting to find out more about the man behind the voice and asked Darryl for an interview. Boy were we in for a treat! Sit back and listen to this entertaining and informative interview with Taylor’s Angels and Darryl. Find out how he got started, who his Idol is, and what he REALLY thinks about Taylor Hicks!

You can visit Darryl’s website at www.idolradioshow.com at any time to listen to the many, many archived shows, including interviews with several former American Idols, as well as many other entertainers.

That was really a great interview and I hope Taylor takes Darryl up on his invitation to come speak with him. It really is valadating to see that the treatment of Taylor at the hands of A.I.- is finally starting to be noticed.

It is very validating to hear it from someone that is not so involved in the fan club end of it. Thanks for your comments!

so often when these issues about Taylor are talked about on some fan boards, people are accused of being conspirasy theorists or paranoid. Its nice to see that someone "in the know" can see the same things happening that I did.

Fascinating interview! I'm so glad to know that someone other than the soul patrol realizes how wrongly treated taylor has been! Great to hear this. I hope Tay goes on his show!

Hey all,

Just to let you know, there has been a time change for "Idol Radio Show: AI Edition", which is the Tuesday and Wednesday all-AI show. (As of this comment, what you see in the blog entry is not correct.)

This week (4/8 - 4/10), Darryl and I will be on Tuesday, 4/8, and Thursday, 4/10, at 10 PM EDT / 9 PM CDT / 7 PM PDT.

Next week and through the end of the "American Idol" season, we will be on every Tuesday at 10 PM EDT / 9 PM CDT / 7 PDT and Wednesday at 11 PM EDT / 9 PM CDT / 7 PDT.

I hope you will all join Darryl and me for these "Idol Radio Show: AI Edition" shows.

What a wonderful interview! I throughly enjoyed listening to Darryl, not just for what he said about Taylor, but just to hear how he has made his dream happen. Good luck in the future. Thanks Taylor's Angels for doing this. You gals rock!

Enjoyed the interview with Darryl and what a pleasure to learn that there are radio professionals willing to comment on the obviously biased treatment Taylor received at the hands of the AI people and their menions. I could hear the disgust in his voice when he spoke about some of the incidents that have outraged us also.

Thanks for the arranging the interview and thanks to Darryl for taking the time for the interview.

Great interview.

It was good hearing his thoughts on Idol & Taylor. Plus loved hearing him speak of Anita Pointer. I was a big Pointer Sisters fans when I was younger.
